The Activity

This pack gets team members thinking objectively about their own teamwork performance.

Unlike our team activities where team skills are put to the test, here you consider what teamwork actually means.

Work through 30 cards, each presenting an aspect of teamwork. They’ll challenge your prejudices, ask for your reactions, consider how teams develop, look at conflict, analyse team behaviour, discuss team roles, gender differences – and a lot more! All stimulate discussion, enable opinions to be shared and help you build an honest view of your own performance in teams back at work. At the end you complete Action Plans detailing simple, common sense changes to make you an even better team player back at work.

Trainer's Role

  • Divide participants into teams
  • Issue each team with a set of the 30 unique cards
  • Observe teams at work
  • Issue Action Plans for completion
  • Lead a Debrief on the key learning points
  • Full debrief notes are supplied and the handouts are provided digitally for easy copying

Pack Contents

  • Trainer’s Notes
  • PDFs of Handouts (for printing)

The Cards are a fun and engaging, ready-prepared format for your staff to consider their own team skills as well as teamwork in general within the organisation.

M. Jones, Independent Consultant

We used the 'Teamwork Cards' with a newly formed team of senior managers. They stimulated fantastic discussion about real situations they are facing at present. The debrief was able to consolidate these ideas and provided solutions to take back to the workplace.

W. Pollit, T&D Manager, Romec Ltd

Useful discussion aids, thought provoking and work extremely well.

C. Jeffreys Hoar, Ricoh UK
