Delegates study company files for a sinking company and work out a proposed future strategy. All their analytical and strategic skills are put to the test! Lasting 1-2 hours, teams study the following company files:

  • Breakdown of Administration Costs
  • Profit & Loss Accounts
  • Balance Sheets
  • Staffing
  • Market Research (on Competition, Pricing & Future Market Trends)

Teams conduct a SWOT analysis to investigate what's wrong at Waveriders (a company that makes inflatable dinghies for the leisure and military markets). Then they select a strategy for turning its fortunes around.
