Northgate’s very latest BRAND-NEW team activity for your courses is Values & Integrity!
What’s it about?
It’s about exploring personal and organisational standards, ethics and integrity. After useful group discussions, teams’ values are put to the test. An ingenious game structure stress-tests participants’ stated values. Confidentiality is maintained so no-one is put on the spot!
Having a mission statement saying:“Our customers’ views are important to us, and we will go beyond the extra mile to keep you satisfied!” doesn’t always translate into meaningful action.
Just how reliable are YOUR organisation’s values and how much integrity have staff got? It’s a topic that needs constant review.
Learning objectives:
- to remind participants of the organisation’s values and codes of conduct
- to allow teams (in a risk-free and psychologically safe environment) to discuss personal values and how they align with those of the organisation
- to test individual integrity in a fun way
- to reinforce the benefits of living up to clearly-expressed values and ethical procedures for moral reasons and for the reputation of the organisation.
How it Works in Three Easy Steps
- Group discussion on personal values
- Group discussion on organisational values
- Fun team game using coloured counters and boxes (in which teams secretly place their counters to indicate their responses to key ‘ethical’ questions).

WARNING: Stated personal values may not always conform to real-life actions. What would YOU do if you found a £50 note in the street? What you say you’d do (hand it in to the nearest police station) might not be what you actually do in practice!
But no-one need know!
