Experiential learning activities resonate strongly with our audiences. We use a number of Northgate Training activities in our courses including:

  • Going for Profit! and Robot business simulations for our Finance Strategy module and in our Retail Leadership Programme
  • The Coaching Game which is an engaging way for delegates to apply and practise coaching principles.
  • The Escape Room as a team-building activity helps strengthen collaboration and problem-solving skills - it's always well received
  • Improve That Process! which works very well in helping delegates identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Chinese Tower to effectively support discussions around communication, planning and customer relationship management
  • Emotional Intelligence aligned really well with our EQ-i module within our Advanced Leadership Programme and delegate feedback was very positive
  • Decisions! Decisions! which worked particularly well, and encouraged decision-making from a customer perspective, and was very positively received by delegates.

Delegates provide excellent feedback on all these and we're continuing to use them in our programmes. Thanks Northgate!

We use Escape from Mars! in virtual classrooms and as a team development actiity. It is phenomenal and really ticks all the boxes! And what a great activity Escape Room 2 - Breakout! is. A real challenge, it tests collaboration, communication, prioritisation and problem-solving.

The other Northgate activities we use include: Time for Decision!, The Escape Room, Deadline 30 Minutes!, Astronaut Rescue Mission, Lost in the Wilderness!, 4-in-1 Assessing Key Competencies, Teamwork Challenge, AirLift!, Storm the Castle! and Decisions! Decisions!

Without exception, every Northgate Activity we have used within the business has been of the highest quality, professionally produced and exceptionally impactful. Be it for face-to-face or virtual team development. I would thoroughly recommend.

Tina Rudd, Learning & Development Partner, The Estée Lauder Companies

We use a number of Northgate activities in our training programmes to energise our training sessions and get delegates practising skills.

The fantastic Escape from Mars! was used on a Strategy Day that tested problem-solving and collaborative thinking - strategic planning doesn't have to be dull - it can be human, inspiring and full of life! And we ran A Taste of Teamwork in our ‘Liberating Leadership’ workshop. What better way to put teamwork to the test – where things could go very wrong in the bakery… unless teams pull together to save the day!

The best part? These learnings don't just stay in the room. They shape how we lead, collaborate and support our people every day. We have lots of other Northgate titles in our collection and enjoy using them to bring learning to life in our range of courses.

Steve Mirfin, Head of Learning and Development and Talent

I recommend The Escape Room to anyone who is looking for a collaborative teamwork training activity. We ran it for our new graduate and apprentice early starters. The parallels with audit work are so easy to draw out after the session. Because they experience the frustrations at the instructions, the timings, and ultimately (often) failing to escape the debrief has more lightbulb "on" moments than a Kylie concert. The learning experience is so much richer for them than simply being talked at.

I love it! As a bonus, it is fascinating to watch things unfold (and the activity only lasts an hour and is dead easy to set up). Just brilliant! The people in our team (Corinna Black Gillies, Lucia Mitringova Assoc CIPD and Dan Youngs (Assoc CIPD)) all LOVE it.
